In a heartfelt Instagram post, Chibuike Okechukwu, better known as Cubana Chief Priest, opened up about the spiritual roots of his name and the guilt he carries for not becoming the Catholic priest his mother prayed he would become.

He revealed that his mother, who had waited over six years for a child, made a solemn vow to God that one of her sons would serve in the priesthood.

“Many are called but few are chosen,” he wrote, adding: “Next year will make it 10 years since I lost my mum… I live with the guilt that I disappointed her by not becoming a Catholic priest.

She wanted to be called Mama Father, but instead, I became the ChiefPriest.”

The post stirred an emotional reaction online, with many praising his openness and the way he honours his mother’s legacy.
