Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba, has confirmed he has moved on from his marriage to Annie Idibia, signalling a renewed focus on his personal life and music career.

In a recent interview with media personality Seun Okinbaloye, 2Baba stated: “I have moved on my ex-wife, Annie Idibia, I dey do my thing dey go,” emphasising his commitment to his work and creative pursuits.

2Baba and Annie Idibia, once one of Nigeria’s most celebrated celebrity couples, began their relationship in the early 2000s.

They welcomed their first daughter, Isabella, in 2008, became engaged on Valentine’s Day in 2012, and married later that year.

The couple held a white wedding ceremony in Dubai in 2013 and welcomed their second daughter, Olivia, in 2014.

In January 2025, 2Baba announced via social media that he and Annie had separated and filed for divorce, a revelation that surprised many fans.

Following the announcement, Annie reportedly stepped back from social media and deleted multiple posts.

Months later, 2Baba was seen participating in a traditional wedding ceremony with Hon. Natasha Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly.

The development sparked discussion on social media about the timing of his new union, coming shortly after the public confirmation of his separation from Annie Idibia.
