Ayo Maff Begs Olamide For No.1 Spot On Apple Music Chart

Ayo Maff playfully begs Olamide to let his debut album top the Apple Music chart briefly, calling the rapper “my king” and asking for just five minutes

Ayo Maff Olamide chart rivalry took a lighthearted turn on Thursday as rising street-hop artiste Ayorinde Mafoluku Ayodele, popularly known as Ayo Maff, made a playful appeal to Nigerian rap legend Olamide.

In a post shared via X, Ayo Maff pleaded with Olamide to let his debut album briefly top the Apple Music chart so he could take a screenshot.

“My king @Olamide, your son is begging.Please give me number 1 for just 5 minutes make I screenshot,” he wrote alongside a screenshot showing Olamide’s self-titled album, Olamidé, at No. 1 and his own Prince of the Streetat No. 2.

Released on Wednesday, Ayo Maff’s 13-track debut album features appearances from Seyi Vibez, BNXN, Chike, Jazzworx and ThukutheLa.

Even if it’s just for five minutes, let me taste that number one spot  it means the world to me.

Despite falling short of the top spot, the album has received wide praise online.

Many fans found his request humorous, bold and respectful, seeing it as a tribute to Olamide’s enduring dominance in Nigerian music.
