Nollywood film Behind The Scenes has set a new international record, emerging as the highest-grossing Nigerian release in the UK and Ireland with earnings of £159,000.

The film, distributed by FilmOne Entertainment, also recorded massive success at the domestic box office, grossing N2.7 billion to rank among Nollywood’s biggest productions of all time.

In a post shared on Instagram, the distributor described the feat as a landmark achievement for African cinema.

“A record-breaking run. A defining moment for African cinema,” the company stated, noting that the film continues to draw audiences across multiple regions.

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the film explores themes of fame, success, and the emotional realities behind public admiration.

Its growing popularity beyond West Africa highlights Nollywood’s increasing global appeal, with strong viewership reported across international markets.
