Johnson shared his ordeal at Streams of Joy International in Abuja on Sunday, highlighting how it prompted a major personal and professional decision.

During the session led by Pastor Jerry Eze, Johnson explained that the Nigerian film industry often leaves actors waiting silently for opportunities, saying, “For five good years as a seasoned actor, I never had any job to do…silently, nobody calls you for a job. I kept believing in God.”

Despite warnings from colleagues that Abuja was not a hub for film production, Johnson relocated to the capital to participate in the church’s prayer programs.

He credited this move for opening new doors, noting that his faith-led journey resulted in a sudden resurgence.

“Fast forward to now: this year alone, I have done twelve jobs already…God opened my way, and I started doing jobs. By next week, I am going to Germany and America to make a movie,” he said.

Johnson emphasised that his renewed success is rooted in perseverance and spiritual guidance.

Johnson’s story reflects the resilience required in the creative industry, where careers can face prolonged periods of stagnation.

His experience also highlights the influence of faith and community in navigating professional setbacks.
