Biodun Okeowo Lizzy Anjorin controversy deepens as the actress denies supporting her colleague and dismisses paternity claims

Nollywood actress Biodun Okeowo on Wednesday addressed speculation surrounding her relationship with colleague Lizzy Anjorin, denying claims that she supported Anjorin by liking some of her social media posts.

Speaking amid the growing Biodun Okeowo Lizzy Anjorin controversy, Okeowo clarified that Anjorin has never been her friend in real life.

The actress stressed that she maintains only cordial and professional relationships with colleagues in the film industry.

According to Okeowo, her engagement with some of Anjorin’s posts was merely social media courtesy and not an endorsement of the controversies or curses often linked to Anjorin’s online rants.

“I did not support her curses or like any curse post. The posts I engaged with were normal posts, done out of social media courtesy and reciprocity when she posts about her husband or business,” Okeowo explained.

Okeowo said she deliberately avoids taking sides when colleagues are involved in public disputes. The actress added that she does not believe in inheriting other people’s enemies.

The Nollywood star further accused Anjorin of spreading false narratives about her, despite publicly appearing to defend her in the past.

Okeowo alleged that Anjorin made damaging claims, including insinuations that her children were fathered by different men.

Okeowo firmly dismissed the allegation and described it as false.

“Let me state it clearly: my children are from the same father. They are both Okeowo,” she said.

The actress revealed that although she once featured Anjorin in her film Edidi Igbeyawo, the relationship remained strictly professional.

Okeowo said she initially chose silence in the interest of peace. However, the actress decided to respond after the rumours persisted and began to gain traction.

She also disclosed that she withdrew completely from Anjorin’s affairs following a previous controversy involving a child, which Okeowo described as unacceptable.

Reiterating her position, Okeowo said she harbours no hatred towards any colleague but wants the public to stop linking her to Anjorin’s ongoing disputes.

“We are not friends and never have been. We were only colleagues,” she stated.
