The incident occurred at the Delphino Picnic behind the Abuja Velodrome, where Blaqbonez shared the stage with Runtown and Duncan Mighty.

A video circulating online shows part of the crowd booing and throwing objects at the stage, disrupting his performance, particularly during his song “ACL” from his October album No Excuses.

Sources suggest the aggression may be linked to Blaqbonez’s online clash with Odumodublvck and recent controversial social media remarks.

Despite the chaos, Blaqbonez stayed composed and later addressed the incident on X formally known as Twitter with humour:

“thought they could stop me from doing acl, i gave them 3 times 😂”

The event sparked reactions across social media, with many condemning the audience’s behaviour:

  • Makyosu: “Fans should respect artistes. Throwing objects is unacceptable.”
  • Nedafor: “No one deserves to be treated like that on stage, even if you don’t like their music.”
  • Tundeoguns: “Maybe the performance didn’t match the crowd, but violence is never the answer.”
  • Manueleze: “Audience behaviour like this shows a lack of maturity and respect for entertainers.”
  • Sadebayo: “Blaqbonez bblahas the right to perform without fear of attacks from the audience.”
  • Ngozikachi: “Disliking a song is fine, but disrupting a show is crossing the line.”
  • Ifeanyiukwu: “Artistes put in hard work to perform; fans should support, not attack.”
