According to a petition filed by her lawyers, Olamide Oyetayo & Co., the suspect—identified as Mr. Bolanle Azeez—allegedly contacted Ayano on TikTok in July 2024.

Pretending to be Bolanle Ninalowo, he reportedly lured her in with claims of business opportunities, personal requests, and affection, eventually convincing her to send money in several tranches.

The total amount lost in the Bolanle Ninalowo Impersonation Scam was ₦33,000,000, with bank transfers, WhatsApp chats, and audio messages cited as evidence of the deception.

When the victim attempted to reclaim her funds, the fraudster allegedly disappeared and blocked all communication.

Reacting to the situation, the real Bolanle Ninalowo distanced himself from the scandal, sharing the petition on his social media with disbelief.

“For wetin?” he wrote humorously. “Lawyer sef go still collect service fee join! Even Nollywood no dey pay me ₦33M per film. Haa Maka! Olopa ma ko everybody las las ni ooo!!”

The Bolanle Ninalowo Impersonation Scam highlights a growing problem in Nigeria’s digital space, where fake accounts of celebrities are being used to scam unsuspecting fans, especially on platforms like TikTok and Instagram.

This is not the first time Ninalowo has raised alarm about impersonators misusing his identity.
