Burna Boy to headline halftime show at 2026 NFL Paris game

Burna Boy to headline halftime show at 2026 NFL Paris game

Burna Boy NFL Paris halftime show is confirmed for 25 October at Stade de France as the Steelers face the Saints in the league’s first France game

Nigerian Afrobeats artist Damini Ogulu, known as Burna Boy, will headline the halftime show at the 2026 NFL Paris Game, the National Football League said on Thursday 17 September 2026.

Burna Boy will perform on Sunday 25 October at the Stade de France in Paris during the match between the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints.

Kick-off is 2:30pm Central European Summer Time, 9:30am Eastern Time. The set is part of the NFL’s international games programme for the 2026 season.

The Paris show is one of seven halftime performances planned across the 2026 International Games, covering seven countries and four continents. For France it is a first. The league has not staged a regular game there before.

Burna Boy treated the booking as a return rather than a cold call. He has already played the Stade de France. “Paris gave me one of the biggest nights of my career, and to walk back into Stade de France for a moment like this means everything,” Burna Boy said. “The NFL is bringing something to France that has never happened here before, and I get to stand in the middle of it representing African music and I intend to give the people a show they will not forget.”

Tim Tubito, the NFL’s senior director of global game presentation, music and entertainment, said the first French game needed a performer to match the occasion. “The first NFL game in France deserves a halftime moment that matches the occasion, and there is no artist better suited to it than Burna Boy,” Tim Tubito said. He pointed to Burna Boy’s history at the stadium and to the reach of African music.

The booking fits a wider pattern. American leagues have used international games to sell the sport and the soundtrack.

A Grammy-winning Nigerian headliner in Paris is meant to do both. It also puts Afrobeats on a stage built for Super Bowl-scale spectacle, even if this is a regular-season import rather than the Super Bowl itself.

The football still matters. Pittsburgh and New Orleans will play a competitive NFL fixture in a rugby and football cathedral. Halftime will belong to Burna Boy.

If the show lands, the clip will travel through Africa, Europe and the league’s American audience before the fourth quarter is done.

Sunday 25 October is now a double date: first NFL game in France, and Burna Boy back under the Stade de France lights. The league has named the moment. He has promised not to waste it.
