Davido Sierra Leone visit sees the Afrobeats star meet President Bio ahead of his rescheduled AFCON 2025 beach concert

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, paid a courtesy visit to Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio on Tuesday ahead of his rescheduled beach concert linked to the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations festivities.

The visit forms part of Davido’s 5ive Alive World Tour, with the singer describing Sierra Leone as his “second home” and promising fans a future stadium concert in the country.

Recalling his 2017 performance in Sierra Leone, Davido said the show attracted over 50,000 fans, underscoring his enduring popularity in the region.

President Bio welcomed the artiste warmly, noting the excitement generated by his visit and the anticipation surrounding the upcoming concert.

Photos from the meeting have since gone viral online, with fans highlighting Davido’s rising global profile, following similar high-level engagements this year with Nigeria’s President Bola Tinubu and France’s President Emmanuel Macron.
