Popular Afrobeats singer Davido has issued a stern warning to critics and rivals following controversy surrounding fellow musician Burna Boy in the United States.

The singer took to X to declare that everyone who has wronged him in the past should expect consequences from God.

In a series of posts, Davido emphasised his resilience, stating that those who offend him “always end up paying for their evil deeds when they least expect it.”

He wrote, “Dey fool yourself … my head go soon catch you … everybody go collect from my God,” accompanied by laughter emojis.

Davido also re-shared a 2024 post that read: “Anybody wey do me bad go collect this year one by one just Dey watch … e don start already,” reinforcing his message of divine retribution.

In another tweet, he added, “Evil human beings … You will learn.”

The statements come in the wake of a viral video from Burna Boy’s recent US concert, which showed the singer pausing mid-performance to confront a female fan who appeared to be sleeping in the front row.

The fan was eventually escorted out by her companion, sparking renewed criticism of Burna Boy after an older clip resurfaced in which he stated he prefers “rich fans” and does not beg for support.

Davido’s messages signal his intent to publicly address grievances with critics while linking the controversy to broader themes of accountability and respect within the music industry.
