Dayo Amusa Elected AGN National Vice President

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has been elected AGN National Vice President, pledging transparency, innovation, and support for Nigerian actors

Celebrated Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has been elected the National Vice President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) during the national election held in Benin City, Edo State.

Speaking after her election, Amusa described the achievement as “a testament to my unwavering dedication, leadership qualities, and longstanding commitment to the growth and integrity of the Actors Guild of Nigeria.”

A statement from her media office on Monday added that her election reflects the trust and confidence of guild members.

Amusa pledged to bring transparency, innovation, and impactful service to the Secretariat, elevating the operational standards of the guild.

“This achievement reflects the trust and confidence reposed in me by members of the guild, and I am certain that my creativity and administrative excellence will bring renewed strength to the Secretariat,” she said.

Dayo Amusa, known for featuring in and producing numerous films including the popular Yoruba movie Dewunmi Iberu, said she would use her office to promote the interests of Nigerian actors and actresses.

She emphasised the importance of the Nigerian movie industry in national development.

Currently, Amusa serves as the Vice President of the Ijebu Pride Network, an initiative celebrating Ijebu’s brightest stars and the cultural heritage of Ijebuland and Remoland in Ogun State.

The network was conceived by Bashorun Femi Branch, who serves as President.
