The actress addressed the matter in a post shared on her social media page, where she criticised the growing pressure placed on public figures to align with online expectations during periods of national crisis.

Amusa stated that many creatives are being unfairly targeted for either expressing their views or continuing to promote their work while national challenges persist. She noted that such expectations were unrealistic and harmful to livelihoods.

She explained that individuals in the creative industry often invest heavily in their work, including taking loans at high interest rates to fund film productions. According to her, suspending their careers due to public pressure would be unsustainable.

The actress stressed that celebrities should not be forced to constantly post about national tragedies or conform to online demands while others continue their professional routines in different sectors.

Amusa added that she would not be influenced by online criticism, stating that she has built her brand independently and will not “pander to mobs” or tolerate disrespect on her page.

Despite her strong stance, she extended her condolences and prayers to victims of the recent abduction in Oyo State, praying for the safe return of the kidnapped schoolchildren and teachers.
