Diddy Bail Denied Again Ahead Of October Sentencing

Diddy bail denied for the fifth time as judge rules he’s a flight risk despite health and family appeals before October sentencing

Diddy bail denied again as a federal judge ruled on Monday, August 4, that the music mogul remains a “risk of flight or danger” ahead of his sentencing scheduled for October 3.

Since his September 2024 arrest, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been held at Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center.

His legal team requested a $50 million bail, citing his age and alleged health concerns.

However, Judge Arun Subramanian rejected the request, stating Diddy “fails to satisfy his burden” to prove he deserves release.

The judge noted no “exceptional reasons” justified bail, despite recent appeals, including a heartfelt letter from Virginia “Gina” Huynh identified as “Victim-3” who urged the court to grant Diddy bail so he could care for his family.

Diddy was convicted on July 2 for transportation to engage in prostitution, a federal crime carrying up to 20 years imprisonment.

Although acquitted of more severe charges like sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy, bail was still denied.

The court emphasized that without “clear and convincing evidence” Diddy wouldn’t flee or endanger society, bail would remain off the table.
