DJ Brightstar Launches Christmas Youth Tournament in Akwa Ibom

DJ Brightstar youth tournament set for December in Akwa Ibom aims to unite and empower local young people through football

Akwa Ibom, Nigeria – Popular disc jockey DJ Brightstar is set to host a Christmas Youth Tournament in Akwa Ibom this December, continuing his efforts to foster youth development in his local communities.

The initiative builds on a series of football competitions he organised earlier this year in Ikot Eyen Imoh and Ikot Ubo Akama.

The events, held over the Easter period, drew local youths, community leaders, and supporters, who praised the tournaments as a platform for engagement and community unity.

“The positive feedback from the Easter edition encouraged me to expand the project,” DJ Brightstar said.

He added that the Chairman of Ikot Abasi Local Government had commended the initiative through his father.

Brightstar described the tournament as a mission-driven effort. “Giving back to my people is something I take seriously. Football is a tool to unite, inspire, and build confidence in our youth,” he said.

The December edition promises more structured activities aimed at preparing participants for future opportunities, both in sports and beyond.
