Don Jazzy CupidSZN unveils the 21-year-old as Mavin’s newest artist, celebrating his perseverance and announcing his debut EP “Myth Era”

Don Jazzy CupidSZN has taken centre stage as Mavin Records’ latest signing, marking the beginning of a new and powerful chapter for the 21-year-old singer-songwriter.

Announcing the young talent on social media, Don Jazzy revealed that CupidSZN’s journey to Mavin was a story of grit, patience and destiny.

He disclosed that the artist’s father had first sent him a message four years ago showcasing his son’s music, but the DM went unnoticed due to the usual overflow in his inbox. Despite this, the budding musician kept improving his craft until he eventually caught the label’s attention two years later.

Sharing the inspiring backstory, Don Jazzy wrote that after excelling in the Mavin Academy, CupidSZN was now primed for the next stage of his musical career.

He introduced fans to the singer and announced the release of his debut EP, Myth Era, now officially available.

Known for his unique blend of Afropop and Afrobeats, CupidSZN has already earned praise for his catchy rhythms, witty wordplay and distinct vocal style. His earlier singles, including “Service”, “I Want More” and “Osogeme”, had already positioned him as a rising act to watch.

Reacting to his unveiling, the artist expressed heartfelt gratitude to fans, Don Jazzy and the entire Mavin team for believing in his potential. He also thanked his family for their unwavering support, particularly their decision to relocate to Lagos to nurture his dream.
