Enkay Ogboruche Elevates Gospel Music with Global Impact

Enkay Ogboruche discusses her gospel journey, international collaborations, mentorship, and upcoming fourth album, inspiring worship across cultures.

Nigerian gospel singer Enkay Ogboruche has described herself as a vibrant, hardworking, and culturally rooted personality with a strong devotion to God.

In a recent interview, Ogboruche highlighted her passion for excellence, family, and uplifting experiences, adding that mentorship forms a core part of her identity.

“I enjoy creating experiences that uplift, inspire, and deliver hope,” she said.

Ogboruche has collaborated with gospel acts globally, including American Grammy winner Kierra Sheard, Pastor Nathaniel Bassey, Caton Jones, Evelyn Wanjiru, and MOG.

She said these collaborations have expanded her reach and enhanced her versatility. “Working with Kierra Sheard challenged me to raise my standards. These experiences helped me merge cultures and sounds,” she explained.

She also discussed her flagship initiatives, Pneuma Worship Experience, Alabanza, and Praise Flame, describing them as platforms that unite worshippers and create a significant impact within the gospel community.

Serving as a judge on Spotlight has further allowed her to mentor emerging Nigerian gospel talents.

Reflecting on her musical journey, Ogboruche revealed that her career began in church and has spanned over a decade, producing three albums and numerous singles.

She is currently preparing her fourth album, which she says will explore deeper themes and fresh expressions of worship.

Highlights of her career include performing on a stage hosted by Jackie Patillo, Executive Director of the Dove Awards, and joining Michael W. Smith at Liberty University for the global Night of Worship.

“Every year has stretched me and expanded my reach,” she said.
