Gerard Explains Split From Kamsy After BBNaija Eviction

Gerard Kamsy relationship ended after the evicted BBNaija Season 11 housemate said week-three eviction fears and a pool party left him unwilling to be defined by romance

On Friday 11 September 2026 in Nigeria, newly evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Gerard Osinitega Adebija told Daily Post why he felt depressed in the Show Ya Sef house and why he ended the Gerard Kamsy relationship with fellow contestant Kamsy Uzoma.

The 23-year-old actor, radio presenter and content creator from Kogi State, now based in Lagos, left the house on Sunday 6 September after six weeks. He was the eighth housemate evicted. Kamsy Uzoma, a 24-year-old event planner from Imo State, had been voted out on 16 August after three weeks.

Gerard Osinitega Adebija said he believed he would leave in week three. That fear, he said, shaped the romance. “I thought I would be out in week three. That was why I was so depressed, and I ended things with Kamsy because, for me, I was just thinking that, omo, they are just going to know me outside as this guy that was just following woman, and then I will go home,” he said. “With all the stress that I went through before getting into the house, all I was going to be remembered for is that guy with Kamsy.”

The pair had formed a connection early in the season. Tension rose after Kamsy Uzoma danced closely with housemate Chimsom Chuka and sat on his shoulder at a pool party. Gerard Osinitega Adebija called the scene disrespectful and later described Kamsy Uzoma as a manipulator. He said he still liked her but chose to detach.

After her eviction, Kamsy Uzoma told host Ebuka Obi-Uchendu that tears seen in the house were not caused by the split. She said she had been cold and praying. She also said she had started to like Gerard Osinitega Adebija.

Gerard Osinitega Adebija has since described himself as a lone wolf who avoided house politics and has spoken of pursuing acting in Nollywood.
