Hilda Baci, Nigeria’s celebrated chef and global food sensation, has officially received her second Guinness World Record plaque, this time for cooking the largest pot of jollof rice ever made.

According to Guinness World Records, Hilda prepared a staggering 8,780 kilograms (19,356 pounds) of jollof rice during her record-breaking cookout held earlier this year in Lagos. The organisation confirmed that every grain was carefully verified under strict guidelines and that none of the food went to waste, with portions shared among attendees and charity groups.

This milestone comes barely a year after her first Guinness triumph in May 2023, when she cooked non-stop for 93 hours and 11 minutes to set the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

Now a two-time record holder, Hilda Baci has become Nigeria’s most decorated chef, blazing a trail for African culinary excellence on the world stage.
