Iyabo Ojo has spoken out after disturbing videos surfaced online showing men parading Lagos streets with a coffin bearing her name and accusing her of obstructing justice in the case of late singer Mohbad.

The protest, which occurred within the past 48 hours, featured placards displaying images of both Iyabo Ojo and Mohbad. In one video, a man leading the group claimed the recent fire that destroyed Ojo’s office was just the beginning of divine retribution, ominously predicting worse for her and her family.

The actress, in a detailed statement shared on Instagram, condemned the threats and defended her stance. She confirmed that she had been summoned by the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrime Centre in Abuja, over petitions alleging cyberbullying and misinformation.

Ojo maintained that she “never accused anyone of being responsible for Mohbad’s death,” clarifying that her calls for accountability were not targeted but were meant to support due legal processes.

According to the actress, her only request was that certain individuals come forward for questioning to clear their names amid widespread public speculation.

She revealed the personal toll of her activism, saying she had been subjected to hate campaigns, emotional harassment, and escalating threats.

“This experience has been traumatic,” she said. “I only stood for what I believed was a fair investigation.”
