JJC Skillz accuses Don Jazzy, D’banj of betrayal

Veteran rapper JJC Skillz has accused Don Jazzy, D’banj and other Mo’Hits members of betrayal during his early career in Nigeria

Veteran Nigerian rapper and music producer Abdulrasheed Bello, popularly known as JJC Skillz, has accused members of the defunct Mo’Hits crew of betrayal and conspiracy during a critical period of his career.

JJC made the allegations while speaking on the Echo Podcast, claiming that Don Jazzy, D’banj, Ayo and DJ Abbas “ganged up” against him when he expected their support in navigating the Nigerian music industry.

According to him, Cass introduced Don Jazzy to him, while Ayo joined alongside DJ Abbas.

He said he met the group through their television station and openly explained his need for help in connecting with key industry stakeholders in Nigeria.

JJC revealed that he collaborated musically with both Don Jazzy and D’banj but later discovered that the group allegedly harboured different intentions behind the scenes.

He further claimed that fellow rapper Ruggedman informed him that members of the group had been making negative remarks about him, including allegations that he was cheating them and refusing to pay for their services.

Reacting to the accusations, JJC expressed shock, insisting that he had provided accommodation, food and clothing for them, while also taking them to shows and supporting their early careers.

“How can I be cheating you when you haven’t made any money?” he asked.

He maintained that at the time, he was the one introducing the artists to opportunities and helping to put them in the public spotlight.
