The ‘Monalisa’ hitmaker shared the experience during a recent livestream with content creator Gilmore, explaining that the discouraging remark did not stop him from pursuing his musical ambitions.

According to Lojay, the uncle, whose identity he declined to disclose, is now involved in politics and is a well-known figure.

“I have an uncle who is now in politics. I won’t mention his name, but he is very rich and popular. When I wanted to start music, he told me I would never blow,” the singer recalled.

Despite the doubts surrounding his decision to enter the music industry, Lojay said he remained determined to pursue his ambition.

Rather than allowing the criticism to discourage him, the singer used the experience as motivation to keep working towards his goals.

He expressed satisfaction that his persistence had eventually paid off, reflecting on how his journey contrasted with the negative prediction he received at the beginning of his career.

The singer’s account highlights the challenges aspiring musicians can face when choosing careers that family members may not fully support or believe in.

Lojay also encouraged his fans to remain committed to their ambitions, urging them not to let negative opinions or discouraging comments from others derail their plans.
