In a recent Instagram video, the award-winning artist compared the dominance-driven style of lions with the more communal, humble nature of wolves—urging current and future leaders to embrace selflessness over ego.

“In Africa, most of our leaders are lions,” he said.

But if you’re a lion’s boy, you’ll never lead the pride  and that creates an ego problem.

Abaga didn’t stop there. He explained that lion-like leadership breeds suppression and greed, where respect is demanded rather than earned.

In contrast, wolves lead differently—through humility, sacrifice, and collective strength.

“For a lion to become a wolf, he must see himself as smaller than he is, let go of so much, and commit to only one woman,” he added.
