Evelyn, the founder and chief executive of 44 Clothing, was reportedly declared missing in October after an alleged disagreement with her boyfriend.

The development sparked concern among people close to her, as well as social media users who followed updates about her whereabouts.

She was later reportedly found alive, bringing relief to those who had expressed concern over the situation.

Reacting to the incident, Nkechi Blessing urged the public to approach Evelyn’s personal struggles with greater understanding rather than passing judgement on her relationship.

The actress argued that people do not always understand the decisions others make when they are in love.

She added that sharing some of her own experiences in relationships could surprise those who are quick to criticise others.

In a post addressing the controversy, Nkechi said:

“The closest thing to madness na love. If I tell Una wetin I don do because of love, una go gather hand beat me. You all should cut Evelyn some slack, please. Na still Una use Una winch eye scatter the relationship, cus Una dey wait to hear bad news so bad.

“@evelyncute thank God you are safe, but I go still beat craze comot your head if I see you sha.

“No be small panic attack you give me.”

Nkechi also criticised social media users whom she believes are more interested in negative developments in Evelyn’s life than in her welfare.

Her comments suggested that the fashion entrepreneur deserved compassion instead of being subjected to further scrutiny over the reported relationship dispute.

While the actress expressed relief that Evelyn had been found safe, she acknowledged how much worry the incident had caused her.

Her playful warning that she would reprimand Evelyn when they next met reflected both her concern and frustration over the ordeal.

The incident has generated discussion about relationships, public judgement and the way personal difficulties are handled on social media.

Through her reaction, Nkechi encouraged people to recognise that relationship experiences can be complicated and that outsiders may not know the full circumstances behind another person’s decisions.
