The gesture, captured in a video shared online, highlighted the camaraderie between the two actors.

Omotola Ekeinde, speaking about the actor, noted that his cheerful presence helped ease the pressure she faced directing her first film.

“There is something about Rex; he brings these positive vibes and energy. He has the spirit of not worrying over things. This was my first ever film that I was directing. I was really tense; I was trying to be perfect, but everything wasn’t, and it was falling apart. One of the times I enjoyed the set was when he came,” Omotola Ekeinde said.

Nosa Rex, clearly touched by the recognition, responded: “I don’t know what to say. Thank you so much, I really appreciate it.”

The actor has recently voiced concerns over the toxicity on social media, noting the pressures fame can bring while emphasising that social platforms remain a vital source of income.

His experience on set echoes wider discussions in Nollywood following the tragic death of actor Junior Pope during a shoot.

Nosa Rex highlighted safety concerns, recalling a heated argument with a director over a risky river scene.

He insisted he would never dive into a river for a film, even for N20 million.

Industry colleagues, including Yvonne Jegede and Ini Edo, have publicly called for stricter safety regulations and better production standards, citing Junior Pope’s death as a cautionary example.

Emerging actress Sarah Martins criticised the unsafe conditions on low-budget sets, while actor Jide Awobona noted that such incidents are a recurring risk in the industry.

The interaction between Nosa Rex and Omotola Ekeinde offers a moment of levity and encouragement in a sector facing scrutiny over safety, professionalism, and production standards.
