Adejobi was recently promoted from Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) to Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) by the Police Service Commission for what it called “professional excellence.”

Odunlade took to Instagram to celebrate the news, writing:

“Congratulations, sir. As the new DSP @adejobimuyiwa, God will bless you more, sir.”

But the congratulatory post quickly turned controversial.

Critics accused the actor of supporting an institution they say has failed Nigerians.
