Nollywood actress Omeche Oko on Wednesday, June 25, 2026, revealed that she was hospitalised after a severe motorbike accident during a film shoot in Lagos, an incident that left her with a broken leg and her colleague briefly unconscious.

The actress shared footage of the accident on her Instagram page, showing the moment a motorbike carrying her and fellow actor Victory Michael reportedly lost control and crashed into a pole while filming a scene on set.

According to her account, the impact of the crash left Victory Michael temporarily unconscious after hitting his chest on the pole, while Omeche Oko sustained a serious leg injury that required immediate medical attention.

Both actors were rushed by crew members to an undisclosed medical facility in Lagos, where they are currently receiving treatment.

Describing the incident, Omeche Oko said the experience underscored the fragility of life and the risks involved in film production.

She wrote, “Life is very very fragile. It could have been a different story but God said no. If you see an actor today, give them a hug. We take a lot of risks for the craft. All I can say is thank you God.”

The incident has sparked concern within Nollywood, with colleagues and industry figures flooding her comment section with messages of support and prayers for a quick recovery.

Prominent actors including Mofe Duncan, Chinenye Nnebe, Nkechi Blessing Sunday, Nosa Rex, Chidi Dike and Chizzy Alichi, alongside producers Uche Nancy and Toyosi Etim Effiong, were among those who publicly expressed sympathy and encouragement.
