Slikk Muzik, the four-time Grammy-winning American producer, has named his newborn daughter Ayra Starr Offord after Nigerian singer Ayra Starr.

He posted the first pictures on Instagram on Tuesday, 22 September 2026, with the caption: “Ayra Starr Offord. 09:21:26. Daddy loves you 4L.” He did not add a long explanation. The name itself was the tribute.

Ayra Starr answered by sharing that post on her Instagram Story. She did not issue a separate statement.

For a singer who has become one of Afrobeats’ most visible international voices, the gesture was a small, public nod between Lagos pop and a US studio career.

Fans treated it as both sweet and prophetic. One user joked that in 20 years a gossip site would introduce “Muzik’s daughter named after the legend.” Another said Ayra Starr would one day want to work with the child. The remarks are speculation.
