Speaking in a recent interview on The Esther Show, Reekado recounted how a disagreement between them erupted following the release of their joint track Omo Olomo.

Wizkid had openly criticised Reekado on social media, labelling him a “fool” and a “clout animal” for announcing the song’s release during a time of national unrest.

At the height of the #EndSARS protests against police brutality, the release of music by Nigerian artistes drew intense scrutiny.

Reekado now says the decision to drop the song was made by his team and not by him directly.

“It was my management that insisted on releasing the song at that time. I was actually against it,” he explained.

According to him, the two stars have since reconciled, with Wizkid visiting his restaurant to mend fences.

We had a little talk and he was a little regretful about it. He said he shouldn’t have gone that route.

Reekado shared that during their conversation, Wizkid admitted he had reacted poorly and expressed remorse.

“We had a little talk and he was a little regretful about it. He said he shouldn’t have gone that route,” Reekado revealed.

The Rora crooner added that Wizkid also reflected on several of his past industry feuds and expressed empathy, noting how the recent loss of their mothers has offered perspective.
