“Nigeria is too too Toxic man. Sickening,” he wrote, expressing his deep frustration with the state of the nation.

The post drew sharp responses from Nigerian users on social media, with many accusing him of being ungrateful and disrespectful to the country he had only recently left. Some argued that he was being hasty in his judgement, considering he had been abroad for less than six months.

One user commented, “You never even reach 6months for that side u don dey enter us,” implying that Shank had quickly turned against Nigeria after emigrating.

In response to the criticism, Shank stood by his words, replying, “No jor. I’m serious,” reaffirming his stance and suggesting that his opinion was not exaggerated but a sincere reflection of how he felt.

Shank’s comments have ignited broader conversations around emigration, national frustration, and the experiences of Nigerians abroad. While some echoed his sentiments, others insisted that public figures should be more measured in their criticisms, especially on platforms with wide influence.
