Stan Nze Backs Competent Leadership, Says Nigeria Needs Results

Stan Nze leadership choice focuses on competence and national development as the actor shares his views on Nigeria’s next president

Nollywood actor Stan Nze has shared his thoughts on Nigeria’s leadership ahead of the 2027 general election, saying his priority is a leader capable of improving the country rather than a candidate chosen because of ethnicity, region or personal connections.

The actor made his position known in a recent Instagram post, where he explained that his interest is centred on finding a leader with genuine concern for citizens and the ability to deliver meaningful development.

Stan Nze said he is not supporting any candidate simply because of identity or political affiliation, stressing that effective governance should be the main consideration when Nigerians choose their leaders.

“I only want to see a better Nigeria. It doesn’t have to be Peter Obi. I’m not looking for someone from my tribe, but for a candidate who has Nigerians at heart and can move the country forward, not one step forward and ten steps backward,” he said.

The actor added that decisions made by government officials affect Nigerians across different backgrounds, making national interest more important than regional loyalty.

According to Stan Nze, leadership should be measured by vision, compassion and the ability to create lasting improvements in the lives of citizens.

While noting that his preference is not based on personal relationships or ethnic considerations, the actor said Peter Obi currently appears to reflect the qualities he expects from Nigeria’s next leader based on his observations.

“So far, I haven’t seen any better candidate than Peter Obi in this election. The truth is that governance doesn’t affect only one tribe or region, it affects everyone,” he added.
