Speaking on a recent episode of The Clarity Zone podcast co-hosted by Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu Wazobia, Adewale explained that prolonged STIs could underlie many cases of mental health disorders.

“Do you know STIs can cause mental problems? There is something called neurosyphilis, the third stage of syphilis… There are many things that can lead to mental issues,” he said.

Adewale stressed that neurosyphilis affects brain function, altering how patients process information and interact with their environment.

He also suggested that some individuals suffering from mental health challenges may, in fact, be affected by untreated or prolonged STIs.
