Speaking on Morayo Afolabi-Brown’s talk show, Adeoye said she consciously decided not to let past experiences define her future.

“That season taught me that God has a plan for everyone, but I chose not to equate a bad decision with a bad life,” she said.

Adeoye explained that her transformation came from a clearer understanding of purpose and faith.

“When you understand purpose, your pain will have a meaning,” she added.

Adeoye praised her husband, describing Pastor David Adeoye as a significant blessing.

“Just resist the urge to shalaye. My husband was not on a rescue mission, and I wasn’t trying to prove a point. My husband was my divine compensation, orchestrated by God. It is the grace of God that allows it to outlast the gossip,” she said.

Reflecting on criticism she faced, Adeoye revealed that it was painful when some church members distanced themselves.

“People left the church, and it hurt not because of reputation but because leadership carries responsibilities.

These are people you’ve interceded for, stood in the gap with and supported in their own season.

When people leave, you feel it.

But just because people have a role in your past does not mean God permits them in your future.

We allowed them to go, and some have returned, which we received with open hands,” she said.

Adeoye encouraged others to find meaning in past challenges, noting that understanding purpose helps turn pain into growth rather than regret.
