SZA slams ICE video featuring her song, accusing the White House of “rage baiting” artists. Spokesperson Abigail Jackson responds, defending the video’s message.

The video, part of a campaign that calls for the crackdown on “criminal illegal aliens,” sparked outrage from the artist, who labelled it “Evil n Boring.”

The video, which was also shared by the White House, reads, “WE HEARD IT’S CUFFING SZN. Bad news for criminal illegal aliens. Great news for America.”

The White House used the video as part of a broader push to emphasise the success of ICE operations in apprehending undocumented individuals.

SZA responded to the video on social media, condemning both the message and the use of her song. “White House rage baiting artists for free promo is PEAK DARK ..inhumanity + shock and aw tactics … Evil n Boring,” the singer wrote, accusing the White House of deliberately using artists like herself to promote controversial political messages.

Abigail Jackson, a spokesperson for the White House, responded by thanking SZA for drawing attention to the video.

“Thank you, SZA, for drawing even more attention to the tremendous work America’s ICE officers are doing by arresting dangerous criminal illegal aliens from American communities,” Jackson said in a statement.
