The couple revealed the intense planning, stress, and disagreements involved during a recent interview.

The couple described the process as “insane,” with each ceremony closely following the previous one. Temi Otedola explained that their initial plan was to hold a simple, quiet court wedding in Nigeria, but privacy concerns prompted reconsideration.

Another suggestion involved inviting court officials to their home for a private civil ceremony. While Temi found the idea appealing, Mr Eazi expressed reservations, leading to further discussions.

The couple eventually chose Monaco for their civil wedding, citing its sentimental value, while other options, including the United Kingdom, were considered but felt less personal.

The pair also highlighted the unexpected complexity of the legal requirements. “I thought getting married was just deciding and signing papers,” Temi said. “I didn’t know there would be so much paperwork and formalities involved.”
