The milestone was achieved after her song “What You Need” debuted at number 93 on this week’s Billboard Hot 100, bringing her total entries to seven.

Tems now ties her compatriot Burna Boy and South African group Seether as the African artists with the most Billboard Hot 100 entries, each with seven.

In 2022, Tems also made history as the first African artist to debut at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 with her collaborative track with Future and Drake, “Wait For U.”

Music analysts expect Tems to break the tie with Burna Boy and Seether soon, as her feature on J. Cole’s “Bunce Road Blues” alongside Future is anticipated to debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart next week.
