Nigerian music superstar Tiwa Savage has crossed 800 million streams on Spotify, marking a major milestone in her 15-year career and reaffirming her position as a leading female figure in Afrobeats.

Since her 2010 debut with the single Kele Kele Love and her 2013 album Once Upon a Time, Tiwa Savage has dominated the Nigerian music scene, earning the widely recognised title “Queen of Afrobeats.” Her 2025 album Water & Garri, which was accompanied by a self-produced film, propelled her streaming numbers to new heights and captivated global audiences.

Despite the emergence of rising stars Tems and Ayra Starr, who have achieved significant international success since their debuts in 2018 and 2021 respectively, Tiwa Savage’s achievement places her as the 24th Nigerian artist and the third Nigerian woman to surpass 800 million streams.
