Expressing his gratitude, Cruise said, “Making films is not what I do, it is who I am,” highlighting how filmmaking has defined his life and career.

The award was presented by acclaimed Mexican filmmaker Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu, who praised Cruise’s remarkable dedication.

“Writing a four-minute speech to celebrate Tom Cruise’s 45-year career is what is known, in this town, as a mission impossible. Tonight, we celebrate. We celebrate not just a filmography, we celebrate a lifetime of work,” he remarked.
