In a viral Instagram post titled “Things the Holy Spirit Healed Me From”, the outspoken actress shared her emotional transformation and how a divine encounter saved her life.

“I used to have a fuse so short it could ignite a storm,” Tonto wrote. “My anger was not power; it was pain disguised as control. But one day, I broke down and cried out like a child. And El-Roi, the God who sees me, saw me… He didn’t condemn me. He healed me.”

Tonto described how unresolved trauma once caused her to lash out and lose relationships. But she says the Holy Spirit taught her peace — a peace she now cherishes more than rage.

“Peace is stronger than rage. Silence can carry more authority than shouting ever could,” she shared.

In one of the most striking revelations, Tonto admitted to battling severe depression and even attempting suicide at one point.

“Depression was my closest companion. I attempted suicide. But God said, ‘Child, get up.’ And I did. Weak, trembling, but alive,” she recalled.

Tonto’s testimony reveals a woman who has been transformed by faith and now lives with renewed purpose and compassion.

“Now when I see people acting from a place of pain, I don’t judge them. I intercede for them,” she said.
