Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has spoken publicly for the first time following the reported end of her marriage to Bobby Maris, saying her immediate priority is caring for her children and focusing on emotional healing.

The actress addressed the situation in a statement shared on her Instagram page, where she appealed for empathy and respect while choosing not to discuss the private details surrounding the breakdown of the relationship.

Ogbodo, who shares two children with Maris and has three children in total, said only those directly involved understand the full circumstances of the situation.

“I understand that many people have opinions about my personal life. The truth is, no one knows the full story except the people who actually lived it,” she wrote.

The actress acknowledged public interest in her personal affairs but urged people to approach the matter with compassion rather than assumptions.

“My priority right now is raising my children, my healing, however that journey unfolds, and moving forward with dignity and peace of mind,” Ogbodo said.

She added that she would not publicly discuss the details of her marriage unless there was a serious reason to do so.

“I will not be discussing the details of my marriage publicly unless there is an absolute need to do so,” she said, asking for understanding and respect for everyone involved.

The actress thanked those who had shown support and encouraged a more considerate approach during what she described as a personal transition.

“Thank you to everyone who has chosen compassion over judgment,” she wrote.

The statement marks Ogbodo’s first public response after reports emerged about the end of her marriage, as she shifts attention towards family responsibilities and personal wellbeing.
