Victony Starlife album arrives with 15 tracks and collaborations with BNXN, Young Jonn, Fola, Blaqbonez, Babyboy AV and YKB
Nigerian singer Anthony Victor, popularly known as Victony, released his 15-track sophomore album, Starlife, on Friday, August 21, 2026, across major streaming platforms, marking a fresh chapter in his fast-evolving music career.
The new project arrives after months of anticipation and follows Victony’s 2024 debut studio album, Stubborn, as well as his eight-track Very Stubborn EP released in 2025.
Starlife brings together a notable group of Nigerian artistes, with collaborations involving BNXN, Young Jonn, Fola, Blaqbonez, Babyboy AV and YKB.
The project also reflects the range that has increasingly become central to Victony’s artistry.
His music has moved comfortably between Afropop, R&B, trap and alternative influences, allowing him to develop a sound that does not sit neatly within one category.
Among the tracks appearing around the album’s release are “STARLIFE” featuring Blaqbonez and YKB, “WHO THIS” featuring BNXN, “PINO” featuring Babyboy AV, “TWIN” featuring Fola and “ARMED & DANGEROUS” featuring Young Jonn.
The release follows a deliberate build-up from Victony, who unveiled the album’s cover art earlier in August and confirmed August 21 as the release date.
The artwork uses a childhood photograph of the singer, giving the album campaign a personal touch as he presents a new stage of his career.
Victony also held a listening party in London on August 12, giving listeners an early glimpse of the project before its official arrival.
The road to Starlife has been shaped by an increasingly confident run of releases.
His single “SLICK”, released in July, offered a more relaxed presentation of his melodic style and arrived as anticipation for the album continued to build.
That momentum has also been visible in Nigeria’s music charts. “SLICK” reached No. 1 on the Official Nigeria Top 100 during the July 17 to 23 chart week, providing a strong lead-in to the album campaign.
Victony’s rise has been gradual but significant. He began his music journey with a 2017 SoundCloud mixtape, The Outlaw King, initially presenting himself as a rapper before developing the broader musical style that now defines his work.
His international breakthrough came with “Soweto”, a record that grew into one of his signature songs and later received high-profile remixes involving Rema and Don Toliver.
His career has also been marked by a difficult personal chapter following a serious road accident in 2023.
Victony has since spoken publicly about his recovery and the way that experience shaped his outlook, adding greater emotional weight to the story behind his music.
With Starlife, the 25-year-old singer is not simply adding another project to his catalogue.
