The 21-year-old daughter of tech billionaire Elon Musk stunned on the catwalk during the Alexis Bittar Spring/Summer 2026 showcase at Manhattan’s Abrons Theater.
Draped in a bold red dress with a purple sash reading “Miss South Carolina”, Vivian brought both elegance and political edge to the runway.
Designer Alexis Bittar described the show as a surrealist narrative tackling themes of misogyny, trans rights, and objectification.
“Thank you for trusting me, Vivian, and for honouring me with your first show as Miss South Carolina,” Bittar posted on Instagram.
Vivian responded with youthful flair: “First FW show done, very slay.”
The Vivian Wilson runway debut marks a personal and public milestone, coming in the wake of her highly publicised estrangement from Musk.
Since legally transitioning and changing her surname in 2022, Vivian has distanced herself from her father, calling him a “pathetic man-child” following his criticism of progressive values and transgender issues.
Living modestly in Los Angeles with roommates, Vivian recently shared that she does not have “hundreds of thousands of dollars at her disposal,” despite Musk’s vast fortune.
Instead, she’s focused on building a grounded life, possibly enrolling in community college and working part-time.
In interviews, she has opened up about growing up with ADHD, feeling out of place at a private school filled with “nepo babies”, and finding her voice outside her father’s shadow.
Former classmates included celebrity children like Apple Martin, daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin.
Born a twin to Musk and his first wife Justine, Vivian first came out as transgender at 16, asking her aunt to keep the news from her father.
Despite Elon Musk’s public attempts to reconcile, the relationship remains strained.
But on the NYFW runway, Vivian Wilson stood firmly on her own two feet.
