Waje Reveals Her Ideal Partner Preference

Singer Waje says she seeks a financially stable, emotionally intelligent partner and cannot date younger men, citing personal growth and pragmatism.

Nigerian singer Aituaje Iruobe, popularly known as Waje, has shared her views on the kind of partner she prefers.

Speaking with Honest Bunch, Waje explained that she cannot settle down with a man who is not financially stable. At 45 years old, the artist stressed that she is no longer in her 20s and seeks a partner who can inspire growth.

“I can’t marry someone who is not successful, and here’s why: first of all, I’m not in my 20s so we are not growing together. A man leads, he leads by selling aspirations to me. I have to aspire to see him lead.

And if he can’t inspire me to grow, we can’t be partners. So, success is part of it. Faith and emotional intelligence are also part of it,” she stated.

Waje also revealed that dating a younger man would not work for her, describing her approach as pragmatic. “We will have issues.

I’m very pragmatic. I sometimes have to hold myself with my siblings, my friends, and my family members. Imagine if it was a husband? He would get tired. I will be treating him like my child. He would hate me,” she added.

The singer, known for her powerful vocals and emotional honesty, has previously marked personal milestones, including celebrating her daughter’s 25th birthday, highlighting her role as both an artist and mother.
