Yemi Solade slams G-Wagon claim as unrealistic

Yemi Solade G-Wagon Claim sparks debate as actor says Nollywood income can’t fund such luxury without side hustles or gifts.

Speaking candidly on the Honest Bunch podcast, Solade questioned the financial reality behind the high-end lifestyles of some of his colleagues.

The seasoned actor, known for his outspoken views, argued that the figures paid to actors in Nigeria are not substantial enough to justify owning a G-Wagon — a vehicle often seen as a status symbol.

“It is possible from producing but not from acting,” Solade said. “Except they have a side hustle, because how much are they going to pay you for acting — 50 million? Then again, some are gifts, I want to believe so. Yes now, dem fit gift person G-Wagon.”

His remarks have sparked debate across social media, with many questioning the financial transparency in Nollywood and the side businesses actors often engage in.

While some supported Solade’s bold claim, others viewed it as unfairly targeting female colleagues.

The Yemi Solade G-Wagon Claim has not only reignited discussion around earnings in the entertainment industry but also shone a spotlight on the economic realities behind the glamorous façade.
