2Face Idibia mental health sparks concern as Daddy Freeze urges fans to pray for the singer, citing emotional decline since his split from Annie Idibia
Veteran broadcaster and media personality Daddy Freeze has expressed deep concern over the emotional and mental state of Nigerian music legend 2Face Idibia.
In a video shared online, Daddy Freeze suggested that the singer is visibly struggling in the aftermath of his public marital issues with his estranged wife, Annie Idibia.
According to Daddy Freeze, several people have privately reached out to him, voicing their alarm over 2Face Idibia’s current condition. “This 2Baba matter is serious,” he began.
“A lot of people have reached out to me to express their worries about 2Baba’s current state. 2Baba is a legend who deserves to live and die as a legend.”
He drew a stark contrast between 2Face and Annie, highlighting how Annie appears to be regaining control of her narrative and evolving into a stronger woman.
“When 2Face separated from Annie—yes, marriages end—but look at the way Annie has carried herself,” he said. “Despite all the negative press she once faced, she’s working hard to rebuild her image. She’s evolving into a Queen.”
Daddy Freeze explained that Annie’s progress was the result of surrounding herself with a strong support system and good advisors.
“Look at Annie—she’s glowing and growing. Can we say the same for 2Baba?” he asked. “We don’t even hear his voice anymore.”
He further stated that he had seen some troubling videos of the music star that he chose not to share publicly.
These videos, he said, only heightened his personal concerns and those of others close to the legendary artist. “This is not the 2Baba we know.

Another startling revelation was the claim that one of 2Face’s brothers had travelled all the way from the United States to visit him, but was reportedly turned away.
“His own brother flew in to talk to him, but 2Face didn’t want to see him,” Daddy Freeze said.
Throughout his commentary, Daddy Freeze remained empathetic but firm in his observations.
He stated clearly that while relationships fail and people go through difficult phases, emotional well-being must be prioritised, especially for public figures who have long inspired many.
The comments come on the heels of 2Face’s recent controversial remarks about monogamy, in which he implied that it’s difficult for men to remain sexually loyal even when in love.
