Mo Abudu Speaks on Why She Doesn’t Dance to Promote Movies

Abudu stressed that she prefers alternative promotional strategies that fit her brand and personality.

She also highlighted the importance of diversity in marketing approaches, encouraging filmmakers to focus on methods that play to their strengths.

Her comments come amid industry debates, following Kunle Afolayan’s criticism of dance-based film promotion, which sparked reactions from fans and colleagues including Funke Akindele and Omotola Jalade Ekeinde.

While some industry veterans view dancing as unprofessional, Abudu acknowledged its effectiveness for others but reaffirmed that every filmmaker must find what works best for them.
