Tacha Reportedly Arrested After Three Police Invitations

Tacha reportedly arrested after allegedly ignoring three police invitations, with the case linked to a previous social media allegation

Big Brother Naija star Tacha Akide was reportedly arrested at her Ajah residence in Lagos on Sunday, August 30, 2026, after allegedly failing to honour three invitations from the Nigeria Police Force National Cybercrimes Centre, NPF-NCCC.

The reported arrest was disclosed by media personality Seun Oloketuyi, who claimed that police officers picked up the reality television star early on Sunday morning.

According to Oloketuyi, Tacha had allegedly received three invitations from the NPF-NCCC between May and August but did not appear before the authorities.

He wrote: “Just in. Tacha has been arrested today by the NPF. Arrested early this morning after she was sent 3 invitations between May and August by the NPF-NCCC, but she decided not to honour the IV. She was picked up at her Ajah residence early this morning.”

The development reportedly relates to a controversy that emerged in March, when Tacha made an allegation against a man in a social media post.

The reality star had shared a video accusing the man of rape. Reports at the time suggested that the allegation had consequences for the man’s employment prospects and a potential job opportunity abroad.

The police have not publicly released detailed information confirming the circumstances of Tacha’s reported arrest or formally stated the specific allegations under investigation.

It is therefore unclear whether the reported arrest is directly connected to the earlier allegation or whether other issues are involved.

Reports circulating on Monday maintained that the reality star was taken from her Ajah residence after allegedly failing to respond to the three invitations issued by the NPF-NCCC.

The reported development has attracted considerable attention online, with members of the public awaiting an official statement from the police and further clarification from Tacha or her legal representatives.

Until such confirmation is provided, the circumstances surrounding the reported arrest remain allegations rather than established facts.
