President Bola Tinubu’s message, shared on the official @NGRPresident handle, lauds Bello’s historic ascent as the Fourth Republic’s youngest elected governor and hails his commitment to youth inclusion.

The President notes that Bello’s rapid rise from 2016 to 2024 inspired many aspiring leaders, and he wishes him continued health, strength and personal fulfilment in the years ahead.

Love or hate him, this man remains one of the greatest actors and filmmakers in this country.

Current Kogi governor Usman Ododo echoes those sentiments, crediting Bello for building a political culture where talent can flourish regardless of background.

Ododo says he stands as living proof of that philosophy, having benefited from the inclusive structures his predecessor set up.

Despite the celebrations, Bello’s record remains under scrutiny, with an ongoing EFCC investigation into alleged money laundering and misappropriation of public funds.
