Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has said the long-running rivalry between fans of Afrobeats stars Wizkid and Davido is one of the key reasons both artists have remained relevant in the music industry for nearly two decades.

Blaqbonez made the remarks during an interview with Korty EO, where he discussed competition, fan culture and the role rivalry plays in sustaining public interest around major artists.

The rapper also described himself as naturally competitive, saying he embraces rivalry as part of the entertainment business.
